About the Conference - October 10 and 11
Masquerade is a conference for women providing an opportunity to come together as a community in Christ’s name.  Registration begins Friday night at 6:00 pm.
Saturday session begins at 8:00 am and ends at 5:00 pm.

With unveiled faces we will see the realities that confront women across the globe, across the states and across the street.  Our intention is to equip women with a better understanding of how to reach out with what our speaker Becky McDonald refers to as, “Arms of love creating circles of protection around women at risk”.  Becky will discuss both proactive and reactive roles Woman at Risk, International uses to accomplish these goals as she presents the struggle, response and goal to unveil.

Becky will be speaking in three sessions, one Friday night and two on Saturday. Classes will be held during two break out sessions Saturday.  These will include options for spiritual and personal growth and offer an opportunity to connect in a personal and intimate way with God, Christ and each other.  So regardless if your current situation finds you in a position of risk, in a position to be a circle of protection or in a position to take off your veil and reflect the Lord’s glory, you are invited to share in this message of hope.

About the Speaker
Becky McDoaldBecky McDonald received her BA in World Religions and Philosophy from Grace Reformed Baptist College in Michigan and pursued her graduate work at Michigan State University.  As a missionary child in Bangladesh, Becky gave her life to the Lord at age 7.  From childhood, Becky has been accustomed to living and interacting with those of different faiths.  From age 14, Becky was involved in wrapping arms of love around wounded women.  The suffering of a playmate burned a hole in Becky's heart and set her on a course of action that has become Women at Risk International.  Becky's message is one of purpose and passion for a ministry that whispers; “We were created for purpose and dignity, lift your eyes to the Shepherd that walks beside us all."

About Women at Risk, International
Women at Risk, InternationalWomen At Risk International, WAR, gives voice to the silenced cries of women of the world and creates circles of protection and hope. WAR offers a safe place to turn crisis into a story of hope whispering the message of worth. “There is no greater joy than to see a woman or child rescued, restored and empowered to support herself with dignity.”  WAR unites and educates women across the neighborhood or ocean to provide protection and empower women through safe houses, women’s centers, skill and educational sponsorships, economic development, emergency 911 programs and many other projects that are culturally sensitive interventions.  For more information, visit their website at www.warinternational.org.

O. Chambers……..Prayer doesn’t prepare us for our major work…It is our major work

Myths of Anxiety and Depression with Dr. Lois Britell

Opportunities

Women At Risk, International creates opportunities to help women all over the world and allow us to be part of the process.  Through their “WAR” efforts, women are employed with dignity to create masterful works of art in the form of jewelry, silk scarves, perfume bottles, stationary and much more.  At our conference a wide selection of these gift items will be available to purchase in support of these efforts.  We have attached some pictures for you to preview.  All proceeds will benefit WAR, International.
Tables will also be in set up in the hall opposite WAR, International to showcase a selection of the opportunities available through Women’s Ministry efforts at Grace Bible Church.  We encourage you to stop by and ask questions.  Representatives will be glad to meet with you!
