Security and Safety

 As many of you have experienced we have a new computerized check-in system for our nursery, preschool and elementary children. We really like our security system. It has helped us track our students better and therefore helps us adequately prepare for children on Sunday mornings. A couple of changes we wanted to make you aware of:

The claim ticket that you receive when you check in your preschooler will be what you use to pick them up. Please, take it to the Children’s Window first so we can check your child out of our computer system. We print attendance lists for the teacher’s each hour, and of you left without checking them out, they show up on the next hour’s list. This could create a small panic if we were to evacuate the building for an emergency and our list shows your child still here. Thank you for your help in this matter.

Elementary students will come to the window and check in. The greeter will then hand them their name tag. When they are leaving, they will return to the window and tell the greeter they are checking out. This is for the same reason as stated above. We want to be sure our class attendance lists are correct for each hour, so if we have to evacuate the building for an emergency, we know that the lists are accurate.

If you would like to stay with your child in their classroom or in the nursery please let us know at the check in window before entering their classroom.

Thanks for your help as we strive to keep our check-in and out process simple and protect your children. We also need volunteers to greet the kids and parents, check them in and give out information during both services. If you are interested please let us know.
